Whether you’re in Bangkok or Pattaya, you enjoy Christmas parties that are genuine celebrations, not just “parties in name only”.
Vicky’s Secret, Soi Cowboy’s hottest new go-go bar, and The Hive, Walking Street’s buzziest new go-go, are both hosting Christmas parties starting Dec. 24.
Christmas Parties ‘In Name Only’
This time of year, there are a lot of fake Christmas parties. Put up some red-and-white balloons, put girls in Santa hats and make a poster and you’ve got yourself a party to promote, right?
Wrong. These “parties in name only” offer nothing out of the usual and no special reason to go.
Everyone, it seems, is having Christmas parties, but most of them aren’t worth the air put in the balloons. It’s why smart bar folks at Tycoon are skipping organizing a party this year because a) Christmas is not a very busy night in go-go bars, b) many ladies go home this time of year, and c) eveyrone’s doing it.
They know how to read the room.
Extra Special Effort
But a couple of Bangkok and Pattaya go-go bars are making making a real effort to host Christmas parties worth going out of your way for.
On Soi Cowboy, Vicky’s Secret is throwing a Christmas Eve bash from 9 p.m. “until Santa drops”.
It’s unclear if that means Santa will drop dead drunk or slip on all the sewer water leaking out of bars up the street.
At Vicky’s, parties are never in name only and Christmas Eve there will be free pizza and free shots. There are two good reasons alone to show up.
Add in the fact that Vicky’s, owned by a well-known and popular expat, has become the hot place to be on Soi Cowboy. And they have a few dozen of very slim, fun and sexy ladies.
Vicky’s is more than a go-go bar. The front patio is a fabulous people-watching spot. But step insdie and you’re not immediately hit with pounding beats and chrome poles, but an ‘ol school bar with TV screens, strong drinks and a reasonable volume level.
If you want the spicy go-go action, just step thrugh the curtain to the back. Vicky’s is a lot of things all at once.
The Hive Buzzes for Holiday Season
In Pattaya, The Hive (formerly Tantra) is hosting the only one of the Walking Street Christmas parties worth going to. And a New Year’s Eve party too.
At both events, guests will receive a free gift (while supplies last). And there are special costumes for each occasion, with The Hive’s 40+ sexy Santa’s helpers decked out in skimpy red-and-white gear from now through Dec. 31.
And, for New Year’s, the Japanese owner is putting the ladies in Oiran-style robes with PR staff in special yukatas.
For those unfamiliar with Japanese history, the Oiran were kind of like geishas, but a lot naughtier. Look it up.
So, now matter if you’re in Bangkok or Pattaya, there are Christmas parties for you at Vicky’s Secret and The Hive.
