Pattaya’s own version of “Twins” – bossman Greg and manager RJ – celebrate their birthdays Saturday at Heaven Above in what surely will be Sin City’s party of the year.
Boston-native RJ – better known to many as “Capt. Hornbag” during his years managing bars from Spanky’s in Bangkok to Club Electric Blue in Pattaya – and Aussie Greg, a principal behind the original Heaven Above go-go bar on Soi Diamond – have a large and devoted following who have traveled from Bangkok and beyond for the evening party at the Soi Boomerang gents club, which opens at 5 p.m. daily.
Heaven Above said there will be snacks and giveaways the party. You can also expect plenty of rounds of Greg’s favorite shot, the “Cocksucker Cowboy”, a ridiculously tasty mix of Bailey’s and butterscotch liqueur.
Heaven Above’s ‘Twins’
Greg, who like RJ look at least a decade younger than their actual age due to vigilant gym habits, was holding court Thursday night in Heaven Above’s upstairs speakeasy, Cleo’s Hideout with a group of expats, one of who, upon seeing RJ appear, likened the pair to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito’s characters in the 1988 comedy “Twins”.
RJ and his Carnivore Diet-sculpted frame obviously was Arnold in this pairing, but Greg wasn’t taking kindly to short and fat DeVito. A couple more margaritas and all was forgiven, however.
Exactly how old are each? You’ll have to head over to Heaven Above Saturday night and buy them a shot to ask.
