Le Pub Pattaya Morphs Into Exciting Le Pub a-Go-Go Aug. 20

Le Pub becomes Le Pub a-Go-Go Aug. 20

Pattaya’s Le Pub relaunches Aug. 20 as Le Pub a-Go-Go, marking a bold new chapter for the former pub known for its pool table, Guinness and easy-going atmosphere.

The transformation comes less than five months after well-known YouTuber and bar owner Mr. Egg sold the venue to new owner Aussie Joey, who also bought and re-opened identi a-Go-Go on Walking Street July 25.

The change in format to Le Pub a-Go-Go was announced on Aug. 1 and the bar has been closed for renovations since.

From Le Pub to Le Pub a-Go-Go

Le Pub a-Go-Go will feature a split-format design. The front half will be a compact go-go space with a small stage of 1.6 square meters, two poles and around 15 dancers greeting customers at the entrance. Joey said four dancers can perform on stage at a time.

The rear Le Pub a-Go-Go section will retain the original pub vibe, including the pool table and air-conditioned comfort that made Le Pub a regular stop for many expats. The idea, Joey explained, is to diversify the clientele without losing the loyal crowd.

“Some like ladies on poles, and some simply like laying back, relaxing and talking. At the new Le Pub a-Go-Go, we can now cater to everyone’s idea of a perfect night out,” Joey said.

Joey said the Le Pub a-Go-Go plan was the result of continuous planning and well-thought-out design. He described the go-go section as having a “space galaxy” vibe with fluorescent blue lighting, designed to make customers feel like they’re on another planet.

Upgrading the Experience

The makeover will be more than just a new stage and dancers. Joey has added a modern VIP go-go section, updated lighting and signage and improved the air-conditioning system.

“The new design takes Le Pub to a level that wasn’t possible before,” Joey said. “We’ve put a lot of thought into making it both comfortable and exciting.”

While most of the previous hostesses have moved on, Joey said a few of the “day one” loyal staff will remain at Le Pub a-Go-Go. The rest will be new recruits with what he described as “energetic fire in their veins,” ready to bring a fresh spark to the venue.

Joey also confirmed that Guinness will remain on tap, and the DJ setup will return to keep the energy up. Thai girls will continue to play “naughty pool” with customers in the pub section, maintaining one of Le Pub’s signature interactions.

Aiming for Broader Appeal

The dual-concept design is aimed at drawing both go-go fans and those who prefer a relaxed pub setting. By keeping the pool table and an area for conversation, Joey hopes to offer something unique on Soi Diamond.

Le Pub a-Go-Go will run with the same energy as larger Walking Street venues, while the pub side gives patrons space to cool down, have a drink and socialize.

Le Pub a-Go-Go’s location, a short walk from Walking Street’s main drag, has always made it a convenient stop for night-crawlers heading between bars. Joey’s bet is that the upgraded design and new lineup will turn it into a destination in its own right.

With the reopening date set for Aug. 20, final preparations are underway. Joey said he is intentionally holding back some design details to surprise guests when they step inside.

“I want customers to walk in and feel like they’ve been transported somewhere else,” he said. “The maze-like design will keep them exploring.”
