Thursday brings the Levels 14th Anniversary celebration to Bangkok’s Sukhumvit Soi 11, going “Beneath the Surface” to turn the entire sixth-floor nightclub into an undersea world for its annual anniversary blowout.
The Aug. 27 Levels 14th Anniversary will bring together Levels Club & Lounge DJs, MCs and dancers amid a full-club aquatic makeover of coral, sea creatures, submerged ruins and deep-blue lighting. An invitation-only reception runs from 9-11 p.m., before doors open to everyone at 11 p.m.
VIP tables and premium bottle packages for the Levels 14th Anniversary are available, although management says tables are strictly limited. Reservations can be made through the Levels 14th Anniversary booking page or by messaging on LINE to @levelsclub.
Levels, located in Aloft Bangkok on Sukhumvit 11, has set a dress code of “smart and stylish”, with no shorts, flip-flops, hoodies, vests, caps or sportswear allowed.
Levels 14th Anniversary Parties Gets Bigger
Anniversary parties have become one of Levels’ biggest productions of the year, with management increasingly turning the entire club over to a single theme.
The club went full jungle mode for its 12th birthday in 2024 with “In The Wild,” a full jungle-themed anniversary party that encouraged guests to arrive in animal-inspired outfits. Last year, Levels aimed considerably higher. The 13th-anniversary “Lift Off” party transformed the club into an outer-space setting, while the 11th anniversary in 2023 the club turned to ancient Egypt, filling the room with pharaoh-inspired decor, costumed dancers and performers.

Levels opened in July 2012 when Sukhumvit Soi 11 was a very different nightlife street.
Bed Supperclub and Q Bar were on their last legs – they would close a year later – but, by then, So 11 was morphing into a new beast, with Oskar Bistro and Nest Rooftop Lounge established and Zak’s Dining & Lounge about to open. Late night, crowds flocked to the Climax and Bash after-hours clubs. Levels took the street to another, well, level.
Its grand opening drew such a crowd that Coconuts Bangkok reported packed elevators and a beer shortage before 11 p.m. The Heineken stand ran dry, bartenders were overwhelmed and guests had traveled from as far as Phuket for the launch. The review was hardly gentle about the opening-night problems, but praised the inner LED-filled dance room as the standout feature.
Levels’ original concept was designed around bringing the atmosphere of European nightclubs to Bangkok, with several different experiences inside one venue. Today, Levels describes the club as a multi-level space with a Main Room, mezzanine overlooking the dance floor and Terrace, where house and techno supplement the open-format and commercial music downstairs.
The club also built its reputation by bringing international names through Soi 11. Its early years included appearances by Boy George, Todd Terry, Laidback Luke, Markus Schulz, Sander van Doorn, Gareth Emery, Fedde Le Grand and Riva Starr. Boy George was already behind the decks at Levels in October 2012, less than three months after the club opened.
Later bookings included Martin Garrix, Jay Sean, Jonas Blue, OMI and Iyaz. When Levels celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2022, it had only recently emerged from the long Covid-era nightclub shutdown, making that birthday something of a reopening celebration as well.
Two years of jungle and outer space later, the Levels 14th Anniversary sees the club still occupying the same Aloft sixth floor where Bangkok partiers overwhelmed the elevators in 2012. Thursday night, they’ll be heading underwater instead for the Levels 14th Anniversary.
