The inside of Vicky's Secret Pattaya is little changed from its time as Milk.

One of Soi Cowboy’s most-popular bars expands to Sin City tonight with the opening of Vicky’s Secret Pattaya, part of a new effort to revitalize Walking Street’s Soi Diamond.

Vicky’s Secret opened on Soi Cowboy in Bangkok in November in the spot that was a short-lived massage of the same name.

It has a patio in front, a “normal” bar with sports on TV in the front inside, and a small but spicy go-go bar behind the curtain in back. Thanks to that, and its owner, well-known expat John Walker, Vicky’s become an instant sensation.

It has remained popular due to the Vicky’s Value Menu, which has local beers, house spirits, tequila and soju shots all for 100 baht all night, every night.

Vicky’s Secret Pattaya Soft Opening

Located next to Le Pub on Soi Diamond, Vicky’s Secret Pattaya takes over the space previously occupied by the Milk, a single-shophouse go-go started by Le Pub founder Phil “Mr. Egg” Ross and later sold to Indian owners. Mr. Egg went on to sell Le Pub and open Rum Runner on Soi Buakhao, which celebrates its first anniversary on May 17.

Vicky’s Secret Pattaya soft opens May 10 but manage your expectations. As of Saturday night, the Milk sign was still hanging outside, as the crew making the new sign still had not delivered the goods. There will about five dancing damsels on hand for the soft opening.

In some ways, the Vicky’s Secret Pattaya soft opening is just a shakedown cruise meant to root out any bugs in the system.

Walker said next weekend will see more of a party atmosphere, with mates coming from Bangkok, and Vicky’s Secret Pattaya should be fully up-and-running within two weeks with a Grand Opening Party planned for June.

Not a Soi Cowboy Clone

As successful as Vicky’s Soi Cowboy has been, you’d think ownership would want to copy the layout and format of the Bangkok bar. You’d be wrong.

Vicky’s Secret Pattaya follows the traditional go-go bar model. Given the state of Soi Diamond in 2026, there’s no outdoor patio – as there’s not much in the way of people watching potential – and the bar is all go-go, not split between pub and go-go.

In fact, if you ever went to Milk, you’ll find very little different inside Vicky’s Secret Pattaya. The stage, lighting, flooring and seating remain unchanged. Mr. Egg bult an attractive bar and there was no need to change it.

The biggest change is not apparent: The electrical system. Milk’s single-phase wiring was a shambles – in part due to rats that ended up getting fried by eating through wires. So Walker had all the wiring and circuitry in the multi-story shophouse redone top-to-bottom.

Previously, he said, there were sparks and exposed, live wires hanging from the ceiling. It’s now safe for everyone, employees and guests.

Vicky’s Value Menu Debuts in Pattaya

One thing that will make its way from Bangkok is the Value Menu. Starting on Day One, Vicky’s Secret Pattaya will offer local beers, Gilbey’s gin and vodka, Johnnie Walker (no relation) Red, single tequila shots and two soju shots for 100 baht.

The deal runs from the 8 p.m. open until 4 a.m. close every night.

Soi Diamond Revitalization

The May 10 opening of Vicky’s Secret Pattaya marks the next step in the revitalization of Soi Diamond, which began with the sale of Le Pub to Aussie Joey, who took Le Pub in a new direction, making it a hybrid pub and go-go bar.

The next step will come in a month or so with Walker’s opening of a new go-go bar in the spot of the failed i-Doll project, opposite Milk.

Working together, Walker and Aussie Joey – who this weekend sold Identi to his new neighbor – are planning to revitalize Soi Diamond, offering three value go-go bars just a few steps from the popular Windmill clubs.
