Circle Nov. 14 on your calendar for Patpong’s event of the year: The Bada Bing 15th Anniversary Party.

The French-owned club on Patpong Soi 2 that has been widely hailed as Patpong’s (and even Bangkok’s) “best go-go bar” has seen a lot in its decade-and-a-half. It survived the Red Shirt riots of 2009, the historic floods of 2011, the coup of 2014 and the coronavirus pandemic. Yet even after all the adversity, Bada Bing emerged even stronger, with a reputation for the hottest girls, classiest atmosphere and impeccable service.

On Nov. 14, at the Bada Bing 15th Anniversary Party, the bar will mark another milestone in its recovery from Covid: The second-floor bar and stage will be opened again for the first time since before the pandemic.

While downstairs is laid out like a nightclub straight out of Goodfellas, with small tables and small lights on each table, plush, dark-red sofas and low lighting with the spotlights focused on the stage, upstairs is much more lounge-like, with light-colored sofas and the walls decorated with Mafia-themed movie posters from The Sopranos (from where Bada Bing gets its name), The Godfather, Goodfellas and more.

Upstairs has been closed for years and, until the Bada Bing 15th Anniversary party, had the feel of your grandmother’s dusty attic, with broken chairs, the girls’ high heels and costumes strewn everywhere, leaky air-con units and layer upon layer of dust.

That’s all been cleaned up, with upstairs having that “new bar smell” all over again.

Bada Bing has about three dozen girls on the payroll but, for the Bada Bing 15th Anniversary Party, it’s expect that the fun, frisky ladies from sister bar Radio City on Patpong Soi 1 will be brought in to help fill both stages.

With the French owners and their bar being so popular in Bangkok, a huge crowd is expected for the Bada Bing 15th Anniversary Party. And management is preparing a special offer for big groups.

On that night, you can purchase six bottles of spirits – including Chivas Regal, Absolut vodka, Jack Daniels and more – for only 6,000 baht. That’s a crazy 1,000 baht a bottle, lower than that prices at the Foodland supermarket across the street from the Bada Bing 15th Anniversary Party.

That’s a lot of alcohol, you say? Sure, a big group would be better. But Bada Bing is famously loose with its enforcement of drink cards, so you can finish off your cheap bottles days or even weeks later. And, of course at that price, you’ll have to pay for mixers.

There’s no reason to go anywhere else in Patpong Thursday the 14^th. Dozens and dozens of ladies, copious amounts of cheap booze, the coolest tunes and finest atmosphere come together at the Bada Bing 15th Annviersary Party.
