BANGKOK 20/04/2010 – THAI TROOPS OCCUPY SILOM DISTRICT
Thai troops are literally swarming all over the Silom area for a second consecutive day (Tuesday, April 20th). Some of the go-go bars are closed in Patpong and the night market is also closed. It is expected that Patpong and surrounding area will be under Thai Army and Police supervision for at least the next two nights. Meanwhile, Sukhumvit Road including Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy are open as normal.
