Tonight Det 5 Bar hosts a Birthday Bash, as it has become a splendid 19 years old. Det 5 is located towards the far end of Sukhumvit Soi 8 on the left-hand side, as you enter from Sukhumvit Road. It is Euro-Thai owned, so you can get the best of both worlds. Both the Thai and farang food is excellent and should be labelled as a ‘must try’ when you are in the vicinity.
The almost obligatory Free Feeding Frenzy consists of a sumptuous buffet. Decadent shooters will be handed out randomly and there are more surprises to come. The generous guys at Det 5 are donating half the bar takings tonight to the Japan Tsunami Relief Fund and the Southern Thailand Flood Relief Fund. Now when bar owners give generously to genuine causes, this fills our hearts with joy. Congratulations on 19 successful years Det 5 and special thanks for your kindness. Cheers!
Birthday Bash At The Pickled Liver Pub (11/06/2011)
The Pickled Liver Pub hosts its Birthday Bash tomorrow night. This traditional British pub is situated on Sukhumvit Soi 11 in the sub soi past Cheap Charlies Bar. The Pickled Liver has turned 5 years old and landlord Nick is throwing a party. All paying punters are welcome to enjoy the night, which includes a Free Feeding Frenzy. However, the Balloon Chaser Brigade are NOT welcome! There will be live music provided by the talented Thai band Collide from 8 till late. All the best to Nick and his Thai girls.
