Bangkok Royal Funeral Reminder

As the funeral of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej approaches, an enormous amount of people will be arriving in Bangkok.

Be aware that from October 25th until the end of this month, the Old City will be full to the brim with mourners attending the Royal Funeral.

The main days are October 25-27 with the cremation ceremony taking place on October 26th. Everybody is advised to wear black, or white.

The Big Mango prepares for a huge surge in airport arrivals, which is in addition to those arriving by land. Thai National Security will be stepped up a significant amount, swelling the number of bodies even more.

It is estimated that at least 250,000 Thais will attend the Royal Funeral.
