Every expatโs On Nut-area hangout is firing up the grill for a special Buddyโs 7th Anniversary Party Friday.
Itโs the Soi 89 location that is Oct. 20. Itโs one of five Buddyโs locations in Bangkok, but is unique in that its guest list is made up almost entirely of expats, not the tourists who flock to the Sukhumvit Soi 22, 20 and 8 locations. As such, itโs a friendly crowd of regulars youโll find there sippinโ on great cold beers and chowing down on Buddyโs huge menu of American, Tex-Mex and Italian classics.
But itโs barbecue that Buddyโs is perhaps best known for. The Soi 22 location runs a monthly barbecue and they are occasional at Soi 89 or Soi 8. But, for the special Buddyโs 7th Anniversary Party, the price will be a ridiculously low 250 baht for the all-you-can-eat buffet starting at 7:30 p.m.
Buddyโs 7th Anniversary Menu
On the menu at Buddyโs 7th Anniversary Party are famous BBQ pork ribs and roasted chicken, plus Texas chili, hot dogs and spicy Italian sausage. There is a full menu of sides, too, including corn on the cob, hash browns and garlic bread.
To fire up that Buddyโs 7th Anniversary Party spirit, Buddyโs will have all shots on special at just 100 baht.
Buddyโs Soi 89 opened in 2016 on Sukhumvit Road halfway between On Nut and the Bang Chak BTS stations. Itโs not a long walk from either station.
The spot has proved very popular since its opening, so much so that Buddyโs bought out the shophouse next door last year and doubled the size of Soi 89. The expansion allowed for creation of a game room with a pool table and darts.
As an added feature, a โHong Kong Roomโ was created upstairs in the Buddyโs extension for group meetings and functions or private parties.
The food at the Buddyโs 7th Anniversary Party will go quickly, so get there early. But expat the rowdy regulars to party well long into the night.
