Amid hysterical cheering the Midnight Curfew imposed upon Thailand has been lifted in the following beach resorts – Pattaya, Phuket, Krabi, Phang Nga,ย Koh Samui, Hua Hin, Cha Am.
I think this means that the curfew is over in Thailand, with the exception of Bangkok. Unfortunately, the Midnight Curfew ย has remained in Bangkok. However, it was reported that the Thai Army Junta may end the curfew next week, just in time for the FIFA World Cup, but this has not yet been confirmed.
In the meantime, to combat the early closing, most of the gogo bars in Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy and Patpong open from the afternoon until midnight. When the curfew situation ends in Bangkok I will let you know.
