Club Electric Blue Pattaya just Windmill 3 in Disguise

The New Electric Blue Pattaya
The New Electric Blue Pattaya

It may be called Club Electric Blue Pattaya, but in every other way, the newly reopened go-go bar with the legendary name is Windmill 3.

Outfitted in blue inside and out, this month’s reopening of the storied brand marks another step in the revival of Soi Diamond, one that will get a massive boost of creative energy and original ideas next month with the opening of i-Doll further up the soi.

For now, you’ll have to settle for Windmill 3, er, Electric Blue Pattaya.

Electric Blue Pattaya’s Storied History

Electric Blue Pattaya first opened to rave reviews at the far southern end of Walking Street in 2003 and became an instant hit with its multi-level layout, glass floors and crazy drink promotions. As bars do, it fell from grace and closed in 2006, disappearing from the Pattaya scene for nine years.

In 2015, C.E.B., under the same owner, Big Andy, made its return in smaller form on Soi 15 in the space that originally had been Nui’s Club and, over coming years, was home to Club 69, Sakura Club 69, Climax A-GoGo, ToyZ and Private Dancer. That spot is now a restaurant.

Before its most-recent closure in June 2023, Electric Blue Pattaya operated across Soi 15 upstairs, sharing the premises with sister bars, Beavers and The Dollhouse. In 2023, Big Andy sold Electric Blue Pattaya to David, the owner of Windmill Club.

Electric Blue Pattaya Changes Hands

For two years, there was talk about David reopening not Electric Blue Pattaya in The Dollhouse’s location, but his deal with Big Andy for that business and license fell apart. David’s attention then turned to opening a Windmill 3 on Soi Diamond instead. Signage went up months ago for staff, but nothing appeared.

Finally, a new bar with Electric Blue signage took shape in the old Gentlemen’s Club location at the spot where Soi Diamond narrows.

Remember Gentlemen’s Club?

Gentlemen’s Club, originally called Insomnia Gentlemen’s Club, was the most famous of the go-gos that operated in that spot, which first began as Super Models.

It became Insomnia Gentlemen’s Club in 2007, but the Insomnia group sold the bar in October 2008 and the name was shortened. GC operated until February 2015 before re-opening in June with management connections to Glass House. That incarnation lasted until March 2016 and the building has been vacant since.

Electric Blue Pattaya Layout Changes

Unlike Gentlemen’s Club, which was more (in)famous for its second-floor private rooms, the new Electric Blue Pattaya operates only on the ground floor. Also David moved the front door from the narrower part of Soi Diamond to face the wider section, possibly for fire code reasons.

The redesigned Electric Blue Pattaya website says the go-go operates every day from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m., featuring approximately 50 dancers.

Emphasizing transparent pricing, the website tries to assure patrons there will be no scams or rip-offs with prices clearly stated and an English-speaking manager available to assist guests.

Electric Blue Pattaya = Windmill 3

Anyone expecting to relive the electric days of the old C.E.B. will be extremely disappointed, however, when walking through the relocated door of the new Electric Blue Pattaya. The sign may say Electric Blue Pattaya, but everything else screams Windmill 3.

Yes, the bar is very blue. Blue lights. Blue barstools. Bue uniforms. But that’s where the Blue ends.

The layout of the bar looks like Windmill and Windmill 2, with about 20 barstools around a center stage where a gaggle of girls dance and two frolic on a mattress offering extreme closeup views of the ladies private parts.

Anyone who has ever been to Windmill before will know what happens around that matress, so there’s no need to go into the disgusting detail here. But, suffice it to say, the same crowd that get their rocks off in Windmill have already found Electric Blue Pattaya.

On Saturday night, one 75-year-old retired doctor had a 30-something woman sat spread-eagle on the sofa next to him while he gave her an in-depth gynecological exam.

As with Windmill 1 and 2, customer drink prices at Windmill 3, er, Electric Blue Pattaya, are reasonable and lady drinks expensive.

So, unless you are a closet Windmill lover, we’ve spared you the need to visit Electric Blue Pattaya. You’ve been there, done that and maybe even got the t-shirt.
