Took a trip to Pattaya last week to test a new lens that Viltrox provided for a photography blog Iโ€™ve been hired to write.

Of course, to do that I had to shoot a bunch of random photos to highlight various facets of the lens and give potential buyers what kind of photos it creates.

Not a lot of thought or effort went into it. It was mostly a few walks around town randomly snapping photos of pretty much nothing.

Award-level street photography this was not. The aim was to take shots showing off background blur, bokeh, flare, ghosting, LoCa, sharpness, etc.

Still, the end result was a somewhat interesting set of scenes in Pattaya that, instead of just deleting them, make for a small gallery of Pattaya street scenes in 2025.

Shot with the Viltrox 28mm f/4.5 pancake lens on the Sony A7iii and Sony A6400. (The older bodies were used intentionally to represent the likely buyer for a cheap, 2,600-baht lens.)
