Police Charge Singer For Santika Fire

THE BANGKOK CLUB FIRE KILLED 65 PEOPLE

After completing their investigation this week, Thai Police charged the lead singer of Santika’s rock band with negligence resulting in other people’s deaths. The lead singer is from the rock band ‘Burn’ who were Santika Nightclub’s resident musicians.  The fire at Santika Nightclub in the Thonglor District of Bangkok killed 65 people and injured over 200 others. Tragically, the majority of the victims who perished in the inferno were young Thai women. Some members of the Thai emergency services said it was the worst tragedy they have ever had to face.

 BANGKOK DISTRICT POLICE CHIEFS TRANSFERRED

Following the Bangkok nightclub inferno, 2 Bangkok District Police Chiefs have been transferred to inactive posts. In the meantime, they may partly be held responsible. This story was published by The Nation
