Oliver’s Birthday Friday at Shark Go-Go Club, Pattaya’s Hottest New Go-Go Bar

Oliver's Birthday at Shark Go-Go Club Pattaya

Boss man Oliver, aka “Khun O”, celebrates his birthday under a full moon Friday at the impressive, new Shark Go-Go Club in Pattaya.

There will be free food after 8 p.m. and plenty of room to party in the recently relocated Shark Go-Go Club from Soi 15 to Walking Street on the corner of Soi Diamond.

Oliver, partner in Pattaya’s Shark and Farhenheit and other go-go bars in Bangkok, knows how to have a good time (until the wee hours!) so there will be plenty of beverages consumed and shots taken.

Shark Go-Go Club Takes Off

The beginning of October is never good for Thailand’s red light areas. Rainy season is at its peak and long-term visitors usually don’t start arriving until after Oct. 15.

In Bangkok, Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy have done much better than expected this low season, but Walking Street? Not so much.

This past weekend, bar owners and managers up and down Pattaya’s nightlife strip complained about too little demand (i.e. customers) spread between too much supply; supply being the number of go-go bars.

In the past 35 days, three new “super clubs”, two smaller go-gos and a ladyboy bar have opened: Shark, Chick and an expanded Opium.

Joining them are the new Identi and Alice girl go-gos and the True Color ladyboy bar.

Shark Go-Go Club Sucks the Air Out of Walking Street

Shark is a big reason why other clubs are struggling.

Previously a small shophouse on Soi 15, the humongous new Shark has sucked the air out of every other club on Walking Street.

Two visits on Oct. 4 – at 10 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. – found the place packed.

On the early visit, exactly two seats were available, not counting the bar-side seats at the very back of the joint, behind the VIP section.

It was still bumpin’ at 1:30 and the party continued until 4 a.m. The three stages had 101 ladies on them Friday, and that number was down from peak due to early rain.

Shark Go-Go Club VIP Areas

A big draw for the new Shark Go-Go Club is the three VIP areas, one of which is large and literally is the best seat in the house, with an unobstructed view of both main stages and girls dancing directly behind the U-shaped sofa seating.

Two smaller, cozy VIP areas are tucked into the corners where you can swim with sharks without prying eyes watching.

VIP bookings are accepted only until 9:30 p.m., so don’t bother calling afterward. Also, you must confirm on the day of your reservation. Don’t confirm and your booking will be canceled.
