Live the Dream! Tantra Go-Go Walking Street Pattaya on Sale for ฿16 Million

Tantra Walking Street Pattaya

If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a go-go bar on Walking Street, now’s your chance: Tantra is for sale.

Located next to the newly expanded Palace, Tantra is your chance to own a piece of Pattaya’s renowned adult entertainment scene.

Tantra Won’t Come Cheap

Currently priced at 16 million baht – down from the initial asking price of 20 million baht – the fully licensed, turnkey Tantra includes not just the club, but also 12 guest (aka short-time) rooms upstairs.

This prime location is situated directly on the land side of Walking Street, Pattaya’s most famous nightlife strip, adjacent to the (more) popular Palace, which recently absorbed the single shophouse bar that was European-owned Atlantis. Palace turned all of what was Atlantis into its new VIP area.

Despite its location, Tantra has never had the immense popularity Palace has with Asian naughty boys. It’s why Tantra shows more than Palace.

Tantra Replaced Roo Bar

Tantra originally opened its doors in August 2017, replacing the Roo Bar and quickly becoming known for its narrow layout and intense party atmosphere.

Initially reviewed as a tightly packed venue featuring two small stages, Tantra struggled early on with customer perceptions of overcrowding and modest dance performances. Despite initial mixed reviews – including critiques about cigarette smoke, lighting, and music – the bar managed to maintain operations even during challenging periods, notably reopening immediately after Covid-19 lockdown restrictions eased in July 2020.

The German owner, now opting to sell, joins a line of foreign entrepreneurs who came to Pattaya hoping to turn their nightlife dreams into lucrative realities, only to eventually put their clubs on the market.

Owning a go-go bar on Walking Street has long been viewed by many Western men as the ultimate fantasy – combining business, pleasure, and the possibility of profit. However, the complexities of running such businesses often turn out to be far more challenging than initially expected.

2023 Renovation

Tantra underwent significant refurbishment in June 2023, including new tiles, sofas, electrical systems, lighting and signage, all designed to boost customer appeal.

It currently seats 50 patrons across 23 tables, offering bottled beers, spirits and special drink promotions. The club has established regular promotional nights such as an all-night happy hour on Sundays and reduced-price bottled beers on Wednesdays.

Businesses & Licenses

The business takeover includes two separate companies – one dedicated to managing the bar itself, and another overseeing the guest accommodations – allowing potential buyers to diversify revenue streams.

The monthly rent stands at 120,000 baht, with a key money fee of 4 million baht payable every three years, the next due in December 2026.

Tantra boasts a renewed entertainment license valid through January 2025, with all other required licenses – covering alcohol, tobacco, and music – fully transferable and up-to-date.

Existing staff, including management, dancers and mamasan, are prepared to remain with the business to ensure a smooth operational transition.
