At the Sukhumvit Soi 23 end of Soi Cowboy, the @ Corner Bar located directly opposite The Old Dutch Restaurant run drink specials that change daily. One example is Beer Lao @ 70 Baht, which I thought some of you might want to check out.
Dollhouse is still attracting a fair crowd during Crazy Hour, which runs from when the doors open until 9:30pm. Standard drinks are just 60 baht and it usually draws a fair crowd. Recently, a few cute dolly birds have started dancing at Dollhouse. But, the downside to this go-go bar is a lot of the guys and gals exit after Crazy Hour. The drink prices go up and the number of go-go girls goes down. Dollhouse is unquestionably a booby trap and a selection of busty babes is known to reside here. They come in all shapes and sizes, but make sure you don’t arrive too late. In addition to Crazy Hour, there is a rainy season special on Heineken Beer. Glasses of Heineken Draught are available for only 80 baht after Crazy Hour until closing time. Cheers!

TRICK OR TREAT? Don’t forget that Angelwitch Go-Go Bars in Nana Plaza, Bangkok and in Soi 15 Walking Street, Pattaya, will host a special Halloween Party this coming Saturday, October 31st. The decorations are already up and the Halloween Party will run from October 31st until at least November 2nd. This is to ensure that as many people as possible can enjoy the Angelwitch Halloween experience. Most of the staff will be dressed up and there will be special Halloween theme shows on the night. It will be one hell of a good time!
MEAL DEAL – Currently, I’m hooked on Subway Sandwiches from the Sukhumvit Soi 7/1 branch. By the time I’m ready to go home, I am fortunate that Subway is open 24 hours. The 69-baht Subway Special is a great meal deal at any time of the day or night. Subway provide eat in, takeaway and a delivery service around the clock for your convenience. In this hectic world, if you are looking for a healthier fast food option, Subway Sandwich is the perfect choice.
PATTAYA – PLEASURE PLAYGROUND
Tourism is picking up in Pattaya and Walking Street is noticeably busier. However, upon the aptly named Walking Street, people are doing just that, as they walk up and down the street. If you go inside the bars, it is a different story. What you see inside the bars certainly does not reflect the same amount of the pedestrian traffic. There is an increase in Eastern Europeans amid the Pattaya parade, but they are not spending much time, or money inside the bars. This raises the question that if they are not seeking booze ‘n’ babes, what are they doing in Pattaya?
SUPER SAVER – If you were not aware Sakura Club 69 has reopened under new ownership and it is located opposite What’s Up in Soi 15 on Walking Street. The new Sakura offers a drinks deal with 2-4-1 on house spirits. That’s ‘buy one get one free’ for the newbie’s… Bless ’em!
CALLING ALL ALCOHOLICS & SEXAHOLICS – Don’t forget that Tricky Ricky will be hosting his Birthday Bash tonight (Sunday, October 25th) in Baby Dolls Go-Go Bar. Baby Dolls opens her doors at 8:00pm and there is the obligatory Free Feeding Frenzy in the form of a popular complimentary buffet. Shortly after the Free Feeding Frenzy the festivities include sexy shows and Baby Dolls ‘naughty but nice’ adult party games.

There is news that Polo Club on Walking street has closed its doors. It was only attracting Asians and Arabs, because it featured farang women and therefore, the customers were forced to pay a hefty price for the ‘privilege’ (for want of a better word). The farang go-go girls were complaining about the lack of trade and Polo is now closed. No surprises there then!
A small army of Pattaya bar girls go home alone each night, because there are simply too many of them. The ‘guys-to-gals’ ratio means that the guys are greatly outnumbered. Hey guys, how the hell can that be a bad thing?
PEAKING BEHIND THE IRON CURTAIN
One go-go bar that has made an impact is Iron. Especially, now that they changed the misspelling from ‘Iran’ to Iron. The cheeky buggers made an exact copy of Airport next door. The owners of Iron are obviously not shy in terms of the ‘anything you can do we can copy better’ department. Iron has attracted go-go girls from other bars including Airport.
Word on the Walking Street is that a new go-go bar next to Iron will feature a water slide for the dolly birds to make their grand entrance. The Pleasure Dome is set to become Thailand’s largest adult playground, as they promise to make fantasy a reality, with hundreds of sexy go-go girls. That is a bold statement by The Pleasure Dome, so it will be interesting to see what happens in the near future. I will have more information for you about The Pleasure Dome nearer the opening date.
Located on the corner of Soi Diana in Soi LK Metro is Champagne Go-Go Bar. Champagne is gaining a name for its popular Happy Hour from 7:00pm until 9:00pm. In addition to Happy Hour Heineken Beer and Tiger Beer is just 60 baht all night. Champagne also serves FREE PIZZA on Wednesdays and Fridays after 9:00pm.
The popular go-go bars are getting busier and it looks like high season will not be sensational, but it will be satisfactory for the best bars. The problem for Pattaya is that the high level of competition means the popular bars are very much in the minority. As Charles Darwin said, ‘It is survival of the fittest.’ The positive news for customers is that competition is healthy, as bars are constantly being remodelled and renovated. With so many bars fighting to be better than the rest, this can only be a good thing.
The early closing issue has been resolved and some go-go bars on Walking Street stay open as late as 4:00am. Meanwhile, beer bars are still serving drinks and playing music after 5:00am. Pattaya is definitely the place for late night revellers. Party on!
