Enter The Dragon! It is estimated that one third of Bangkokians are of Chinese origin. Therefore, Chinese New Year is quite special to a number of people who reside in the City Of Angels. In particular, Chinatown is very vibrant and lively during the Chinese New Year celebrations, with firecrackers, drums and ceremonial dragon dancers who proudly parade the busy streets.

Thai Women In Uniform! Female traffic police officers will patrol Bangkok’s streets from today. Their first call of duty is to control the traffic congestion caused by Chinese New Year, especially around the Yaowarat (Chinatown) area. It is felt that female Thai police officers have more patience, when dealing with traffic congestion and the army of daily commuters around Bangkok.

The Black Pagoda located inside the glass bridge above Foodland in Patpong Soi 2 are hosting a Chinese New Year Party on Monday, January 23rd. The special party night will include sexy ladies and a dragon dance.

In addition, ‘Customer Appreciation’ means the the Black Pagoda are serving FREE DRINKS from 10:00-11:00 PM. Now that’s awesome!
