At Red Dragon, Halloween was also the 2nd Anniversary Party for Red Dragon, which created an interesting mix of uniforms.
For the anniversary, the girls were decked out in classy black bikinis with garter belts and black bowties. But, nodding to Halloween, many of the well-appointed ladies were ghouls and zombies from the neck up! alloween makeup and bowties. Only in Thailand.
Halloween at Nana Plaza Parties
At Tycoon AGoGo, which threw its own Halloween at Nana Plaza party, there were some elaborate costumes. The bar, in fact, had a contest with cash prizes for the girls.
An undead bride took the top prize, but the runners-up were scary good, too. As usual, manager Patrick got into the act but, thankfully this time, he kept his shirt on, unlike at the Full Moon Party!
At Billboard and Butterflies for Halloween at Nana Plaza, it was “sexy scary” among the girls, with lots of undead nuns and even some gorgeous Shakira-style getups. The girls looked great, but mostly were shy to pose for the Digital a-Go-Go Team’s camera.

Customers around the plaza also got into the act, with some wild getups wandering the halls.
History of Halloween at Nana Plaza
From 2014-2019, Halloween parties had become less and less common in Bangkok’s red-light areas. While Soi Cowboy always has drawn tourists in costume and many bars had PR staff dressed up, the lack of enthusiasm for All Hallows Eve was especially notable inside Nana Plaza, especially after 2016.
The prepandemic lull in Halloween celebrations were a stark contrast to the frivolity of 2012-2014. Back then, Halloween was very popular Nana Plaza, even more than Soi Cowboy.
Angelwtich was the place to go and management spent a lot of time and money decorating the bar, bringing in makeup artists and more. Even then-manager Dave the Rave was sometimes done up in makeup!
Those who attended the Angelwitch Halloween parties said that, one year, the makeup was so well done that he was genuinely spooked by some of the girls.
Some bars prepared dance routines on the ground floor area with literally dozens of girls dressed up, sort of like they had stepped out of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” music video.
The railings on the balcony around the entire plaza would be packed as girls and customers came out of bars to see what all the fuss was about and watch the routine, which was performed multiple times over the course of a night.
It appears the good times are back again. There were organized, “more than just a poster” Halloween parties in many spots in both Cowboy and Nana, plus Pattaya and outside the red-light areas, as well.
