Hope You Have A Safe Songkran

Thai New Year – Another year has passed and traditional Thai New Year is on the doorstep. Thai New Year is full of  ‘ings’ – dancing, singing, drinking, partying and water throwing! As a reminder, the ‘water wars’ will probably kick off some time on April 12th and the festival ends in Bangkok on April 15th. A number of resident expats escape Thailand during this period.

Water Wars Warning! Thai officials once again stress that road safety is a concern over the Thai New Year festival, which is referred to by the natives as Songkran. Every year warnings are issued, but sadly every year there are scores killed, or injured. During this period, drivers and pedestrians are advised to be careful. And, it is wiser to be on four wheels rather than two!
