Itβs been an amazing month so far at Bangkokβs Shark Club. And Friday it gets even better when the Soi Cowboy go-go bar throws a birthday bash for new manager Greg.
The June 23 party ushers in a newly extended happy hour, which now goes from 5 p.m. until an hour later at 9:30 p.m. During happy hour all drinks, except for the usual suspects (Corona, cocktails, etc.) are just 95 baht. Itβs the best deal on Cowboy!
I wrote earlier about the massive changes at Shark, whose owners staged a βcoupβ of their own bar, bringing in a new crew of 30 girls, managers (Thai and foreign) and even DJs. The old guard didnβt take kindly to being told they were doing a crap job since Shark reopened in September and walked out, making up stories that Shark had been sold to the Rainbow Group.
Shark has not been sold. In fact, itβs better than itβs been in years and is the hottest go-go bar on Soi Cowboy right now.
Shark Birthday Party Details
Friday will be a great Shark birthday party, especially if you start downing the drinks or draft beers from 5 p.m. on the patio. (FYI: Draft beer, in large mugs, is 95 baht all night, not just during happy hour.)
Shark is promising free food but, donβt say you heard it from me, thatβs likely going to mean that a pig will be sacrificed and put on a spit. BBQ for everyone! Plus Thai food and farang side dishes.
