Angelwitch Rock Girls Celebrates 25th Anniversary Tonight in Nana Plaza
The Angelwitch 25th Anniversary Party kicks off at Nana Plaza tonight before the sun sets and may go until it rises again.
Not many go-go bars operate for 25 years, so today marks a huge milestone. In Nana Plaza only Lollipop and Sexy Night can claim that award. (Rainbow 1 doesnโt count as it has not operated continuously over its history.) On Soi Cowboy, only Baccara and Suzie Wong have hit the 25-year mark (although The Dollhouse is close.)
Early Start for Angelwitch 25th Anniversary
The Angelwitch 25th Anniversary party kicks off early at 5:30 p.m., featuring live music from Bangkok surf-rock band Richard Less & The Lessers.
Only the ground-floor beer bars are open that early โ nothing upstairs โ so seating should not be a problem. After 7 p.m., however, will be a different story, as last yearโs 24th Anniversary Party was a sellout despite steady rain.
Legendary former Angelwitch manager wrote before last yearโs party that โAngelwitch has always been more than just a barโitโs a community and a cornerstone of Nana Plazaโs nightlife.โ
25 Years of Rock at Angelwitch
Opened in 2000, Angelwitch Rock Girls quickly became known among Bangkokโs bars for its emphasis on rock music and choreographed stage shows. Unlike other Nana Plaza bars, Angelwitch put stage performances at its center, showcasing creative and professional shows that built a loyal fanbase.
Reflecting on Angelwitchโs history ahead of last yearโs anniversary, Dave the Rave recalled how the bar successfully navigated changes in Bangkokโs nightlife landscape. Angelwitch maintained its distinctive rock-focused identity despite shifting trends, consistently drawing expatriates, international visitors and local nightlife fans.

The event also offers a variety of drink promotions, including Angelwitch shots for 100 baht and Fireball or Jaegermeister for 150 baht.
